Blairgowrie has a number of way marked walks to suit walkers of all ages and levels of ability. The Cateran Trail, a 64 mile circular marked trail, passes through Blairgowrie, Strathardle, Glenshee, Alyth and Glenisla. Individual sections are popular for short walks. For the real enthusiast, the area boasts 12 Munros, and Blairgowrie is a gateway to the Cairngorm National Park.
