April to June:

Enjoy seeing spring colours and blossom on the trees. A variety of birds are active around the lodges. Look out for the nesting boxes. Take a short trip to the Scottish Wildlife Trust at the Loch of the Lowes and see the Ospreys , a long established nesting site the new visitor centre allows you to get really close to what’s going on . Enjoy a trip out to a local hide with Nature Nuts Bob and discover all of the local wildlife, including beavers, pine martins, red squirrels and a wealth of bird species.

Visit the Bluebell Wood (Darroch) in Blairgowrie and enjoy this wondrous site in May.

This is a good time to explore the area, try some of the local golf courses or go fishing.
With no less than six 18 hole and three 9 – hole courses in the immediate area you will be spoilt for choice if golfing is your game. Some of the best can be found at Blairgowrie, Alyth and Kirriemuir. As well as one of the UK’s highest courses at Dalmunzie Castle. And of course the home of golf St Andrews is just over an hour away.

Fishing on the Ericht can cost as little as £5 or hire a ghillie on a beat for the day from £25 our rivers are rich with trout and Salmon, some of the finest fishing to be had in Scotland can be found within 5 miles of Blairgowrie on the Tay, Isla and Ericht.
